Before and after those years I’ve been using custom builds created by my own custom build script which produces a self-contained Emacs.app bundle to make rollback to a previous build really easy in case I run into any issues. Personally I used builds between 2014-2019. And it also provides options to customize both build options and patches, including an option to turn on native-comp on v28 builds. emacs-plus is a homebrew formula that’ll build the latest stable v26, v27, and latest master branch (v28) of emacs, with a sensible set of patches that most people are likely to want. ![]()
